LIGHT AND FLUCTUATION
MASARU OZAKI explores the interplay between fleeting beauty and physical form through "Light and Fluctuation.His hand not only creates a visual spectacle born of the subtle imperfections and differences of his handiwork, but also of invisible "fluctuations.The subclinical "fluctuation" contained in the visual information that captures the world raises the question of "what is the nature of things" for us.
MASARU OZAKI also pursues the possibility of realizing a new kind of beauty under the concept of "Forced Sense Motion.It is the radiation of memory that occurs when we imbue objects with emotion, giving rise to a reinterpretation of nature in terms of gravity, attraction, the resistance of friction, and the whispering of air.The reconstructed nature evokes in us the question, "What is the beautiful second movement?
Major exhibitions include "chair" at rooms18 (Yoyogi National Stadium Tokyo Gymnasium), "Motion Design Magic Solo Exhibition" at Shibuya PARCO, "Kazenoshizuku" at the entrance of the Japan Pavilion at the Shanghai International Expo (Silver Prize in the pavilion exhibition category), "MASARU OZAKI in collaboration with Van Cleef & Arpels" at Van Cleef & Arpels Ginza flagship store, "JUST AROUND THE CORNER", a light and video sculpture at Art Miami, (Exhibited in TEFAF Maastricht), CRYSTAL GATE (Epson Square Marunouchi entrance), "MASARUOZAKI SOLO EXHIBITION" at art miami CONTEXT (Miami, USA), etc.
MASARU OZAKIは、「光とゆらぎ」を通じて、一瞬の美しさと物理的形態との相互作用を探求している。彼の手は、手作業による微妙な不完全さや差異から生まれる視覚的なスペクタクルを創り出すだけでなく、見えない「ゆらぎ」も生み出す。世界を切り取る視覚情報に内包される不顕性の「ゆらぎ」は、我々に「そのものらしさとは何か」という問いを投げかける。
また、MASARU OZAKIは「フォースド・センス・モーション」のコンセプトの下、新しい美しさの具現化可能性を追求している。「フォースド・センス・モーション」は、物に感情を吹き込むことによって生じる記憶の輻湊によって、重力や引力、摩擦の抵抗、空気のささやきといった自然の再解釈を生じさせる。再構築された自然は、我々に「美しい２つ目の動きとは何か？」という問いを喚起させる。
